Tiger's Eye is a brown member of the Quartz family of crystals. It is a chatoyant stone, that is usually formed in metamorphic rock. The growth of Quartz and altered amphibole fibres give Tiger's Eye its unique coloring. Tiger's Eye also goes by Tiger Eye. It also forms in a blue color, called Hawks Eye.
