Rutilated Quartz is a transparent type of Quartz that has natural needle-like Rutile inclusions. Rutile means "reddish" in Latin, and typically the Rutile embedded is reddish but can also be golden, silvery, or very rarely, greenish. Rutilated Quartz sits at a 7 on the Mohs Scale.
